Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong ended his social media silence after one month by sharing a new post on Instagram Stories to show his support to the black community once again and stood against racism.

As you might remember, a black person named Jacob Blake was shotted brutally almost a week ago by the police officers, and the community couldn’t stay silent after another violence following the murder of George Floyd.

To show his support to the black people, Billie shared the speech of Jacob Blake’s sister, Letetra Widman. In this way, Billie revealed how much he is devastated by the shooting of Jacob and pointed out that people are suffering because of the racism problem in the country.

Here is the part of the Letetra Widman’s speech that Billie Joe Armstrong shared:

“I’m my brother’s keeper. And when you say the name Jacob Blake, make sure you say father, make sure you say cousin, make sure you say son, make sure you say uncle…”
