Green Day’s official Instagram account made a new coronavirus announcement on Instagram, and the frontman of the band Billie Joe Armstrong confirmed the information by sharing the post on his Instagram Stories.

As you might already notice, most of the bands like KISS, Alice Cooper, and many more, decided to postpone or cancel their shows due to the danger of coronavirus in winter/spring. And the summer shows also expected to be postponed.

Today, Green Day and Billie Joe Armstrong stated that their highest priority is the safety of everyone and because of that, they decided to postpone their ‘The Hella Mega Tour.’ Also, they revealed that there will be no shows until summer 2021.

Here is the statement of the band:

“Hopefully this doesn’t come as a surprise, but as much as we were all looking forward to seeing you all this summer, everyone’s safety is our highest priority so we’ve officially made the call to reschedule all North American dates of the HeHa Mega tour until next year.

We’ll be announcing Summer 2021 dates with the same venues very soon, so hold on to those tickets. All ticket holders will be emailed directly with refund options as well. Please stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you in 2021.”

A fan named Samantha added this comment:

“This is the news I knew was coming, but was hoping wasn’t 😞💔 See you in 2021.”

Another fan named Adrian said:

“Sucks, but it’s the right thing to do. 🙌”
