The verified and official Instagram account of Greta Van Fleet posted a recent photo and made a sad announcement about the collaboration with Metallica.

As you might already know that Greta Van Fleet was planned to be on stage with Metallica at the South American leg of their tour. Due to the coronavirus outbreak and the safety concerns, Greta Van Fleet had to postpone the show to December.

Here is the official statement:

“For the wellbeing of everyone, our South American dates with Metallica are postponed to December. We are working to share the change of plans with you as soon as possible while the new dates are finalized in each city.

Your health and safety are always a top priority for us. It is disappointing to have to wait to see you, but now is the time to create social distance for the security of all.

The universe is asking us to look inward in these troubling times, take this opportunity to slow down and savor the details. We are always together in spirit, even when apart. Now is a time to be responsible, to embrace hope and cultivate peace, love, and unity.”

An Instagram user named donuts_and_love wrote this as a comment:

“We need a Huntsville or Birmingham show when everything calms down!”
