Greta Van Fleet, the successful new generation rock band from Michigan, recently released a live version of ‘Heat Above‘ from their new album and at the same time, announced the official release date of ‘The Battle at Garden‘s Gate.’
Greta Van Fleet has made a name in the rock scene as one of the most popular rock bands of the 21st century and their music style has often been praised for its fresh take on rock music. The band was formed in 2012, by the twin brothers Josh and Jake Kiszka, their younger brother Sam, and Kyle Hauck and they released their debut album ‘Anthem of the Peaceful Army‘ in 2018.
The album achieved great commercial success and became the top-selling album in the United States in its debut week. The band’s sound is often compared to Led Zeppelin, and Josh Kiszka’s voice and singing technique are considered to be highly similar to Robert Plant. Back in March 2018, Robert Plant commented on the upcoming band and said that they are indeed ‘Led Zeppelin I‘ while praising Josh’s singing.
This must have been the best compliment that the band ever got from anyone, as being compared to one of the greatest bands of all time and getting the approval of a musician like Plant is no piece of cake. In December 2020 the band released a new single ‘Age of Machine‘ and announced that their new album ‘The Battle at Garden’s Gate’ will be released in April 2020.
As you may recall, they had recently made it to our headlines when they hinted that they’re working on a new music video, and it seems like we were correct. Just yesterday, Greta Van Fleet released the live version of their new single ‘Heat Above‘ on their YouTube channel and announced that the album will be released on April 16, 2021. The live version was appreciated by thousands who praised the band for their amazing performance.
Here’s what a fan commented on YouTube:
“Josh really had absolutely no trouble hitting every single note. This was probably the most peaceful/serene performance. Absolute angels doing what they love and making everyone feel their passion for the art! Well done!”
This is what another fan said:
“Everything about this performance is incredible.”
