Greta Van Fleet recently posted an announcement on their official Instagram account about their 2022 US Tour. According to the statement, the remaining spring dates are now postponed, which made their fans upset and disappointed.
To promote their latest studio album, ‘The Battle at Garden’s Gate,’ the band’s tour began on March 10 in Kalamazoo will finish on November 12 in Sacramento. Initially, there were no problems with the concerts, but the Kiszka brothers’ health conditions changed everything.
A short time ago, Greta Van Fleet postponed their shows from March 16 and 17 to September 13 and 14 because of Jake and Josh’s sickness. Later, they shared another statement about the guitarist’s health status, saying he was hospitalized and diagnosed with pneumonia.
Therefore, the band rescheduled their concert in Huntington from March 19 to August 10, but the recent announcement changed the whole concert program. Greta Van Fleet members stated that their performances which were supposed to take place between March 22 and April 2, had to be postponed to give Jake more time to recover, except for the Madison concert they canceled due to renovation.
They highlighted that the guitarist wanted to try, but the doctors advised him to rest more for his health. They will continue touring on May 3 in Rio de Janeiro. Also, Greta Van Fleet members and crew are currently working on the new rescheduled dates for their ongoing tour, and they will share the information about them soon.
Greta Van Fleet’s IG post read:
“We are disheartened to announce that the shows from March 22 through April 2 must be rescheduled for the health and safety of our brother, Jake.
We recognize how upsetting this news is and share your disappointment. While Jake has been discharged after being hospitalized for four days, he is still struggling with pneumonia and its symptoms. The healing process is long and slower than anticipated. Jake wanted to push through; however, doctors have advised doing so could potentially lead to further complications and a longer recovery.
Right now, we are actively working on rescheduling and will share information about the new dates as quickly as possible. We are determined to play these shows.”
“To our fans in Madison, WI – unfortunately, the March 22nd performance must be canceled due to planned venue renovations later this year. However, we love you and your city and will find a way to make it up to you. Refunds will be available at the point of purchase.
To the fans, friends, and family that planned to travel to great lengths to be with us – your unwavering support has not gone unnoticed. We appreciate your dedication, understanding, grace, and sympathy.
This is only the beginning of the tour, and it is important for Jake to heal so the rest of ‘Dreams In Gold’ 2022 can continue as planned through the rest of the year, starting in South America.
Love and light, Jake, Josh, Sam, & Danny.”
