The legendary bassist of Guns N’ Roses, Duff McKagan shared a recent post on Instagram showing his support for the protests against racism and apparently this was nothing new.

The demonstrations to defend the rights of the people of color and to stop the police violence have been continuing increasingly after the tragic death of George Floyd. Guns N’ Roses icon Duff McKagan was also among the musicians and celebrities who didn’t remain silent about the recent protests.

On Instagram, Duff McKagan posted a picture of the ‘left hand‘ which most commonly symbolizes ‘justice.’ He also wrote a long caption to his post and reacted against the unjust treatment of the police officers especially to the people of color.

Here’s what Duff McKagan wrote on the caption of his recent Instagram post:

Well..this cop on Black racism has to stop…but we’ve known this forever. I’m more and more stunned and sickened when I hear of this stuff continuously happening. I am not a black man..so I can’t even pretend to understand what it’s like….but even MORE, I can’t understand what it’s like to be a racist white dipshit.

I don’t get it. I will never ‘get’ it. Thankfully, I grew up differently. Police training and vetting of new and old officers have to change radically. For starters…Peace to all of us.
