Guns N’ Roses icon Slash had a recent interview with Belfast Live, and shared the untold story about how did he start using drugs.
Slash also shared that the new Gun N’ Roses album could commence at the end of 2019.
Here is what Slash said:
“I was drinking myself to death, I was out playing all over the place, I had no real direction I was going or any real concrete idea as to what I was going to be doing for any predetermined amount of time. It was very excessive.
I’d left my band, I was getting divorced, I was going through all this s**t. I had record company issues. It was really classic rock’n’roll life – the bad side. From 1985 up until 1994, I had been under the wing of [record company].
Geffen, everything was great. When I left I left all that security behind and went through all this crazy s**t. And I drank myself through it, I did drugs through it and it was just like, textbook almost.”

A week ago, Slash talked in a conversation with Futuro FM, and shared new update on GNR’s upcoming album. He said:
“There’s been so much talk about this new Guns N’ Roses record, which we haven’t actually done anything with.
So we’re gonna sort of focus on that. And then The Conspirators will be regrouping some time coming up, depending on what Guns N’ Roses is doing. But I’ve already started putting together material for the new Conspirators record.”
