Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash revealed his opinions about AC/DC and their brand new album named ‘PWR/UP’ during an interview with Consequence of Sound and apparently, the album is both exciting and inspirational for him.
As you may remember, AC/DC recently released their 17th studio album titled ‘PWR/UP’ on November 13, 2020, six years after the ‘Rock Or Bust’ album’s release. The album consists of 12 songs which were written by the lead guitarist Angus Young and the rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young.
After its release, ‘Power Up’ debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart in its opening weeks. Additionally, the album’s tracks accumulated a total of 7.8 million on-demand streams in the week ending November 28.
During a recent interview, iconic Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash opened up about his opinions on AC/DC and their latest album ‘PWR/UP.’ Apparently, Slash became a huge fan of the album once he listened to it and felt excited, especially during these times which everyone stuck at home due to coronavirus.
Furthermore, Slash stated that he feels happy for them since the album is something to be proud of and the longevity of AC/DC is incontestable. Additionally, he revealed that once COVID-19 is over, he cannot wait for an album tour.
Here is what Slash said:
“They make such a great fucking record at this point in the game. It’s a really inspired album. I’ve had it in the car for the last couple of days and it’s probably gonna sit there for a while. It’s exciting for me. I’m happy for them, and I can’t wait for this virus situation to end so we can go check them out on tour somewhere.”
