Guns N’ Roses saddened their fans with a recent tweet by releasing a new statement about the upcoming tour dates in Mexico.

In early 2020, Guns N’ Roses announced that they will go on a new stadium tour named ‘Guns N’ Roses 2020 Tour.’ However, they had to postpone the dates after playing only in one event in the United States due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

After the increasing vaccination percentage throughout Summer 2021, the iconic rock band decided to continue touring in North America with Wolfgang Van Halen’s solo band Mammoth WVH opening for them.

At the beginning of October, Guns N’ Roses was meant to play three shows in Mexico then to go to Oceania. However, the Mexican government announced that they recently decided to increase the measures to combat the spreading of the coronavirus.

Following the news, Guns N’ Roses was forced to postpone the tour once again. As the band stated in their recent tweet, they will be postponing their shows in Mexico to 2022.

Guns N’ Roses officially announced the postponement in their tweet, saying that:

“Gunners, due to the government shut down of large gatherings & Covid restrictions, our October 2021 dates in Mexico will need to be rescheduled to next year.

We will update you as soon as possible. Please keep hold of your tickets. They will be valid for the new dates in 2022.”
