Halestorm co-founder and frontwoman Lzzy Hale and Gibson president Cesar Gueikian made a common announcement yesterday and announced that Lzzy officially becomes the first female Brand Ambassador of Gibson after being founded in 1902.

Gibson Guitar Corporation was founded by Orville Gibson in 1902 and it’s one of the most popular guitar manufacturers of all time. Back in 2013, the company decided to change its name to ‘Gibson Brands, Inc’ and they are still one of the best-selling guitar companies in the world right now.

While Gibson worked with many legends like Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page, Joe Bonamassa, and many more, and today, Halestorm co-founder Lzzy Hale became the first female brand ambassador of the band. In the statement, Lzzy stated that it was her dream to be a Gibson artist since she was sixteen years old and with Gibson, she is the rock star she’s meant to be.

Halestorm star shared her thoughts saying:

“I am beyond honored to be named a Gibson ambassador. Ever since I was 16 years old, it was my dream to someday be a part of the Gibson circle. It’s an incredible feeling to know that this dream has become a reality.

Something magical ignites within me when I hold a Gibson guitar in my hands, the same guitars that my forefathers and foremothers of rock slung over their shoulders. With Gibson, I am the rock star I’m meant to be. It is a privilege to represent my genre, my gender, and the incredible power of music that unites us all, with my beautiful Gibson family.”

In the same press conference, Gibson CEO Gueikian stated that Lzzy is a powerhouse singer, badass guitarist, and an influential force in music and she had a clear vision of what she wanted to achieve in music.
