Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale recently posted a photo of herself on her Instagram account and opened up about how COVID-19 has brought out the other side of her which most people have never seen.
As you know, Lzzy Hale highly enjoys using her Instagram account to inform her fans about her upcoming projects, to share sneak peeks from her life, express her views on social and political matters, and of course, share her proudest moments. However, with her recent Instagram post, she actually revealed who she (also) is behind the stage.
There is no doubt that Lzzy Hale is one of the most famous rockstars of our time and most people have gotten used to seeing her as the ‘vicious, freaky, leather jacket, 8″ heel wearing chick’ which she admitted is pure her. Nonetheless, she also added that there is a domestic side to her that most people don’t know about.
In the photo that she posted Hale can be seen washing the dishes with a pretty regular outfit. Under the photo, she wanted to take a moment and say that even though her life has never let her become ‘the wifey in the kitchen,’ she can be that too. Lzzy said that it’s the balance between rockstar and domestic Lzzy that gives her happiness.
Just before Lzzy Hale’s post, her band-mate and often rumored boyfriend also posted a photo of her. Joe Hottinger posted a photo of Lzzy, Josh Smith, and Arejay Hale from their Shiprocked Cruise 2020, which was actually canceled for 2021. He reminisced the good times they had as a band and how they had no idea that these were some of their last shows before the pandemic hit us.
Here’s what Lzzy Hale said in the caption of her Instagram post:
I find joy in small distractions. Dishes, laundry, cleaning out my closet, or farming out lyrics to a song. I’ve spent most of my life not being the wifey in the kitchen. It wasn’t my path. Buses, Planes, Cars, Hotels, Rock n Roll… I’ve lived a unique life that no one I know has lived. So these tasks are special. Because This is me, as much as the vicious, freaky, leather jacket, 8″ heel wearing chick you see on stage is also me. We are not one or the other. We are both. And the balance of Us is happiness.
Love you all!

This is what Joe Hottinger said in the caption of his post:
“About a year ago we set sail on Shiprocked Cruise for what would be our last shows before the pesky covid.”
