Halestorm’s co-founder and frontwoman Lzzy Hale recently posted a photo on her Instagram account and showed her support for a fundraiser which aims to preserve one of her favorite family-owned independent music which is on the verge of bankruptcy due to COVID-19.
As you know, Lzzy Hale is an active user of social media, and she often prefers to use her Instagram account to share her views on social and political matters, update her fans on her latest projects, and show her support for important causes by raising awareness and helping those in need.
With her recent post, Lzzy promoted the fundraiser initiated by one of the oldest music venues in Nashville, which has been impacted by COVID-19. Exit/In has been one of the city’s most important music venues since 1971. It is a local, independent, family-owned, and operated business which has been the starting point of hundreds of musicians.
Although the list could go on for pages, some of the most famous musicians and bands that have performed in Exit/In are Leonard Cohen, Etta James, Billy Joel, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kings Of Leon, Lucinda Willaims, Muddy Waters, REM, Johnny Cash and his daughter and fellow musician Rosanne Cash.
The fact that such a historical landmark of rock music is on the verge of shutting down really saddened numerous musicians such as Hayley Williams. With her recent post, Lzzy Hale stressed the importance of preserving independent venues such as Exit/In and invited her fans to join them in their attempt to ‘save our stages.’
Here’s what Lzzy Hale said in the caption of her recent post:
“Pop up fundraiser on April 7th at 3 pm to save one of our beloved venues in Nashville, the EXIT/IN!, Save Our Stages.”
