Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale recently posted a photo on her Instagram account and expressed her gratitude for having the chance to witness the inauguration of the first female Vice-President of the United States in her lifetime.

As you probably know, Lzzy Hale really enjoys using her social media accounts, and in specific her Instagram and Twitter. She likes using these accounts as a platform where she can talk about her latest projects, share exciting news, express her views on social and political matters, and interact with her devoted fans.

As you know, yesterday was the inauguration day of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Kamala Harris is the first female Vice President of the United States but prior to that, she was known for her successful career as the attorney general of California from 2011 to 2017, and a United States senator from 2017 to 2021. This means that Kamala Harris was one of ten Black lawmakers, and just the second Black woman to serve in the upper chamber.

In her recent post, Lzzy Hale talked about the inauguration day in which the elected president Joe Biden and vice-president Kamala Harris swore to serve their country. She said that what inspired her the most was a poem recited by Amanda Gorman, which filled her heart with hope and faith that Art is the gateway to ‘change, enlightenment, understanding.’

Lzzy Hale also said that she feels gratitude for having a chance to see a female Vice President for the first time as ‘just a moment ago seemed like an impossible dream.’ She went on to encourage her fans and tell them that everything is possible and that they should never give up fighting for what they want to achieve.

Here’s what Lzzy Hale said in the caption of her recent Instagram post:

“Let’s hear it for the Arts!

I know that the last few years have changed me. And the last year has taken a huge bite out of my soul. Some challenges have had beautiful silver linings, others have brought my darkness to the surface. I’ve been carrying a heaviness in my heart. But today, I felt a little bit of that weight being lifted.

The lightning bolt that struck me most during the inauguration today was a poem recited by the young but wise beyond her years Amanda Gorman, it moved me and coaxed my tears to fall. It reminded me once again that Art heals, Art saves, Art is a doorway to change, enlightenment, and understanding. Art is Hope.

Today I’m so proud to be an artist,
I’m proud to be an American,
I’m proud to be a woman,
and I’m proud to stand beside you all as we take our first steps together into this new world.”

She went on to say:

“I am honored that I am able to see our first woman Vice President step into office in my lifetime. A notion, that just a moment ago seemed like an impossible dream.

Well, again I say… Nothing is Impossible!
So, go after your crazy dreams, chase your happiness… and be your truest self!

I’m looking forward to seeing more petty barriers being broken down and I welcome a brighter future with open arms!
We are in this together! The United States!!

Congratulations to our 46th President Joe Biden, and Vice President Kamala Harris.

May compassion and love for your fellow humans guide you.

Love, Peace & Rock n Roll.
Lzzy Hale”
