Lzzy Hale, the co-founder and frontwoman of Halestorm, has revealed the details about the new version of the band’s 2012 song ‘Break In‘ as its official music video came out and shared what she thinks about Amy Lee.

As you know, Halestorm has re-recorded and released their track ‘Break In’ as a collaboration with Amy Lee lately. The band also announced that they are working on a new EP which is named ‘ReImagined.’ Hale has been posting about the recording process of the EP since then.

Recently, the lead singer of the band, Lzzy Hale has talked about the collaboration song with Amy Lee, which will take place in the EP, that it was a great pleasure to work with one of the most legendary women musicians ever.

As the band released the official music video of ‘Break In‘ featuring Amy Lee, Lzzy Hale has shared the story of how they created the song again. She said that it was recorded pre-COVID-19 and Amy Lee has put another layer of meaning to the track.

Hale also clarified the fact that for the EP, the band committed to only one cover but filled the rest with reimagined versions of Halestorm songs.

Here is what Lzzy Hale said about ‘Break In’, ‘ReImagined’ and Amy Lee:

“Over the last decade we’ve been putting out cover Eps in between every original album cycle just for fun…But this time around we decided to shake it up!

For our Ep, we committed to only one cover but filled the rest with reimagined versions of Halestorm songs. It was such a blast to remake some of our favorite originals.”

She continued:

“One of the stand out moments on this EP is a duet of our song ‘Break In‘ featuring the amazingly incomparable Amy Lee. Produced by Nick Rasculinecz, we recorded this duet pre-COVID-19, together in the same room, live, as a full performance from beginning to end.

Amy brought new meaning to this song, turning what was once just a love song into a statement of unity and support for each other.

I hope you find something in ‘ReImagined‘ that brings you joy and hope in these crazy times we live in!
