Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale took her official Instagram account to share a new post and announced a new event in honor of Black Sabbath legend Ronnie James Dio.
Dio had been playing with Rainbow before joining Black Sabbath in 1979, and he recorded two albums with the band. Then, he continued his solo career and left Sabbath. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2010 at the age of 67.
In the post, Lzzy revealed that she will be paying her tribute to Ronnie James Dio and celebrating the late singer’s birthday by attending a charity event for the Dio Cancer Fund on July 10.
Furthermore, Lzzy mentioned in the caption that she is so excited and honored to be playing in a livestream event in the name of Dio and showed her humble personality once again.
Lzzy Hale wrote:
“I’m so Honored and excited to celebrate Ronnie James Dio’s birthday on July 10 at 2pm PT by being a part of this global livestream event to benefit the Dio Cancer Fund.”
