Freddie Mercury Online, who is one of the biggest fan pages of Queen legend Freddie Mercury on Instagram, revealed the unknown story of Mercury, which is about how he predicted that he will die in a short period.
Before the concert at Madrid in 1986, Queen members started to fight each other in the backstage, and at one point, Freddie yelled that he can’t do this anymore because his whole body is wracked with pain.
As Brian May stated in, the band members didn’t take this seriously and thought that this was the ordinary Freddie who complains about the shows after the tour.
However, Freddie was real this time, and he felt that there is something wrong with his body for the first time. Also, this was the first signal that the disease started killing Freddie inside his body five years before he passed away.
Here is what admin of the page wrote:
“Freddie in Madrid, Spain before a show on August 3rd, 1986.
There was a fight backstage before the show and virtually everything in the dressing room was destroyed.
At some point during the altercation, Freddie insisted that this would be his last tour. In 2011 Brian recalled Freddie saying something like: ‘Oh, I can’t fucking do this anymore. My whole body is wracked with pain!’. ‘He normally said things like that at the end of a tour, so I don’t think we took it seriously. But he was for real this time.'”
A fan named Kristin said:
“He knew something wasn’t right with his body but didn’t know what yet. He was the master showman. Who has that kind of energy?
he was exhausted. I wish we could go back in time to the ’70s to warn him. Music would be so much better these days if he was here longer to influence it.”
Another fan named Meredith added this comment:
“I’m sure the fight had more to do with them giving the very best that they could. They loved each other and still do. ❤️”
