One of the legendary bands in the metal community, Iron Maiden, has shared a new post on the official Instagram account and made a coronavirus statement about their upcoming events.
COVID-19, publicly known as coronavirus, is spreading all around the world very quickly and currently, there are over 146K patients who have been fighting to get through this disease. Because of this pandemic, most of the bands like Alice Cooper, KISS, Queen, and Evanescence delayed or canceled their tours.
Today, Iron Maiden joined the group of bands who delayed their events. They decided to postpone the Australia and New Zeland tour due to the coronavirus. Also, Rod Smallwood, who is the manager of the band, made a statement and shared his feelings about this situation.
Manager of Iron Maiden, Rod Smallwood said:
“We are hugely disappointed not to be seeing our fans in Australia and New Zealand in May due to the understandable Government concert bans surrounding Coronavirus. Sadly these are difficult and uncertain times for us all.
We still intend to bring this great Legacy Of The Beast show to you all as soon we can and I promise we will do everything we can to achieve this with our promoters and subject to what is happening around us globally.”
A fan named Burak Baytu added this comment:
“Sad but necessary move! Be safe all Troopers all around the world. Up the Irons!”
Another fan named Michele Moore wrote:
“Figured it would happen. But safety is first for fans and the band and crew.”
