Iron Maiden has shared a new update on the official Instagram account and saddened the fans with a coronavirus announcement.

As you might already know, COVID-19 is one of the most dangerous diseases that humankind has ever witnessed in this century. So far, over 1.3M coronavirus cases have confirmed by the authorities and still rising.

Because of this outbreak, the world itself started to self-quarantine to protect from this disease, and most of the sports events, tours, meetings canceled or postponed.

In the statement, Iron Maiden revealed that the Japanese government decided to cancel all the international shows in Japan up to May 31. Due to this decision, Iron Maiden had to postpone their tour, which was intended to be on May 19, 20, and 22.

Here is the statement from Iron Maiden:

“We have been informed by our Japanese Promoter, Creativeman Productions that they are canceling all their International Artists’ shows in Japan up to May 31.

The Iron Maiden shows will therefore not be taking place in Tokyo on May 19 & 20, and in Osaka on May 22.”

Iron Maiden about the upcoming shows:

“Some of the tours during April through May period that have not been officially announced the status yet, will still not happen during the said period. And for those without status, we will soon be able to announce whether it’s canceled or postponed.

We are in discussion right now, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused. In any case, please hold on to your tickets, as you will need them for a refund. Our thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families.”
