During a recent conversation on SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk, Iron Maiden guitarist Adrian Smith talked about the band’s upcoming projects and assured the fans that they are ‘gonna be delighted’ with the things they’ve been brewing.

As you may recall, Iron Maiden released their latest album back in September 2015. ‘The Book of Souls‘ was the band’s sixteenth album and it was released after a half-decade break. It was the band’s first studio double album and the longest one to date. ‘The Book of Souls’ topped the album charts in twenty-four and ranked No. 1 in the United Kingdom.

Many critics applauded the band for their extraordinary vision and inspiration, while others said that the great emotional journey experienced while listening to the record makes up for the five-year wait. In his recent interview, Iron Maiden’s guitarist Adrian Smith answered some questions considering the band’s upcoming projects and excited the band’s devoted fans.

During the interview, Adrian Smith said he believes that the outcome of the project they’ve been working on ‘will be worth the wait‘ and went on to add that there are some very ‘exciting things in the pipeline.’ Fans felt very excited to hear these words from Smith and started waiting at the edge of their seat for the band’s upcoming project which Smith said will delight their audience.

Here’s what Adrian Smith said in the interview:

“I think it’ll be worth the wait, put it like that, as far as the Maiden things go. There are some very, very exciting things in the pipeline. So that’s all I can say, really… But I think the fans are gonna be delighted.”
