As we all know, Mötley Crüe’s legendary guitarist Mick Mars has been struggling with an unfortunate sickness called ‘ankylosing spondylitis’ which is causing chronic pain and immobility for him.
After the official reunion announcement of Mötley Crüe, the fans are wondering about Mick Mars’ latest health status. And finally, Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx broke his silence about that topic and revealed the recent health condition of Mick Mars.
A fan named Theresa asked him on Twitter:
“How is Mr. Mars doing? I am excited to get to hear you guys live again, (haven’t seen you live since 84), but I hope he doesn’t push himself too hard.”
“Mars is ready to destroy your eardrums.”

Back in January 2012, Mick Mars talked in an interview with Loudwire and revealed what he really thinks about kickstarting a massive tour with Mötley Crüe despite his sickness.
Here’s what he said:
“I am able to keep touring,” Mars told Classic Rock Revisited in a recent chat. “It is one of those things that I call an inconvenience.
Of course, I have days that are worse than others and there is always some amount of pain with my hips. There are good days and bad days but it is more of an inconvenience than anything else. I don’t feel sick.”
