The legendary rock and blues guitarist Eric Clapton‘s daughter Ruth Clapton-Bartlett revealed her favorite Beatles song on Twitter and proved she was over with the feud between her dad and The Beatles icon George Harrison.
As you might know, the blues guitarist Eric Clapton and lead guitarist of The Beatles George Harrison had been the sides of a famous love triangle including English model and photographer Pattie Boyd.
George Harrison and Pattie Boyd got married on January 21, 1966, however, a few years later, they diverged from each other due to alcohol and drug overuse, and numerous affairs. Around the same time, George and Eric Clapton began working and spending most of their time together, which eventually led Eric’s having feelings for Pattie Boyd.
As a result of Harrison’s continuous affairs with various women, Boyd broke up with him in 1974. Later in 1979, Pattie got married to Eric Clapton, however, eight years later, she left him due to his abusive behaviors during their marriage.
Recently on Twitter, Eric Clapton’s daughter from his relationship with Yvonne Kelly, Ruth Clapton-Bartlett responded to a tweet asking people’s current favorite The Beatles songs. As a response to the question, Ruth revealed her favorite The Beatles song, which was ‘Here Comes the Sun.’
Ruth’s answer proved in a way that she was over with the competition between her dad and George Harrison since she chose a famous song written by Harrison. George Harrison actually wrote one of his best-known compositions, ‘Here Comes the Sun,’ in 1969 at the country house of Eric Clapton. The song was released with The Beatles’ 1969 album ‘Abbey Road‘ and became their most streamed song in the U.K.
Here’s what Ruth Clapton-Bartlett stated in her recent tweet:
