Metallica’s legendary frontman James Hetfield described his thoughts on hip-hop and electronic music in an interview by La Tercera. He said:

It’s not something that I enjoy, but when I see my children or other people enjoying it, that’s all that matters, really.

Someone is being moved by music and if I don’t like it, it doesn’t matter. I like seeing people enjoy music. That’s even more important than the music itself.”

He also explained his thoughts on parents taking children to Metallica shows. He said:

“I would never have gone to a show with my father or mother. We’d just be, ‘Ahhh, I’m embarrassed!’ But nowadays, there’s no worry that you’re being seen with your father – it’s more of a bonding moment.”
