On his official Twitter account, Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell recently shared a post to express his thoughts on the constant arguments about women’s abortion rights.

Since Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill to ban most abortions after fifteen weeks, the whole country began arguing whether the government could have authority over women’s bodies and choices after they gained these rights by fighting long.

Thus, pro-life supporters claimed that they were murdering a human being, while pro-choicers stated that no one could take the women’s right to choose to end the pregnancy if they don’t want to be mothers. It’s rumored that the Supreme Court was discussing a ruling known as Roe v. Wade, which caused backlash from activists.

In addition, as a supporter of women’s rights, Farrell highlighted that a fetus is not a person, and these regulations are nothing but tools to repress them. His tweet responded to one of his old photos from a Lifebeat event in 1995, an organization for sexual health and safe sex.

Farrell’s tweet read:

“The mystical truth: A fetus is not considered a person. It is not. Abortion has gone on since mankind began to understand reproductivity. Regulations make the world less repressive and safer for our sisters and daughters, our wives and friends. It’s smarter.”
