The late Van Halen legend Eddie Van Halen’s widow and also professional performer, Janie Van Halen, was recently interviewed by NewsRadio 840 WHAS’ ‘Tony & Dwight’ and talked about her current mood after losing many people in a short time.
As you might already know, the music industry has lost one of its best-ever stars in the last quarter of 2020. Van Halen legend and the inventor of tapping, Eddie Van Halen, has lost his long-time battle with cancer at the age of 65 and since his unexpected death, his widow Janie is trying to get over this devastating incident.
Unfortunately, this is not Janie’s first loss in a year. In addition to that, she also lost her brother in June and her lovely mother in November. In her latest interview with Tony & Dwight, Janie has shared what she is trying to do to keep forward adding that her long-time dance partner Louie has lost his dad and his sister’s boyfriend recently.
Here is what Janie said:
“I’m doing the best I can. I have okay days; I have sad, bad days; but you just have to kind of keep moving. And the things that I post as inspiration for other people, I actually post for myself as well to the kind of keep going, keep moving forward.”
“My dance partner also had two losses almost at the same time — his dad, and then his sister’s boyfriend. So we kind of support each other in our loss and our grief. And it helps — it definitely helps. And then, obviously, my family members and friends — close friends. I do the best I can. It’s not so easy, though.”
