Former Cacaphony and Marty Friendman guitarist, Jason Becker, shared a couple of new tweets on his official Twitter account recently and shared his recent health status after having a bunch of health issues last month.

You may already follow Becker’s career that he’s been suffering from ALS for over 30 years and he’s still considered as one of the most skillful guitarists of all time. While he was so popular in the ’80s, his career on stage was cut short because of his amyotrophic lateral sclerosis issue.

Unfortunately, in 1996, he also lost the ability to speak. Since then, he can only communicate with his eyes via an exclusive tool that was developed by his beloved dad. Last month, many stars in the music industry sent get-well-soon messages to the legendary star after he experienced shortness of breath and a rapid heart rate for some time.

Today, Jason posted a bunch of new tweets on his official Twitter account and thanked his fan base for their supportive messages, and admitted that he busted into tears after all those emotional messages.

Here is what Jason Becker wrote:

“Hey everyone, I am finally starting to feel like myself again, after many months of scary health issues, and thinking I was on my way out.

Once again, thank you all for your prayers and well-wishes; I honestly feel that energy, and I’m very grateful. It feels so good to know you are out there and your kindness and support bring tears to my eyes.

How can I possibly thank Herman Li, Nayla, Colleen, Stephen, Amy, and all the musicians who got together and donated their time and guitars and put their hearts into their music, all for my benefit? Your loving words and gestures are humbling & I am honored. Thank you all. I am blessed beyond belief for each and every one of you.

I am hoping to be able to check in on the computer and try to keep up with everything as much as my energy will allow me, and I hope to get back to music, in some form, as much as I can. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. My family and I could not have gotten this far without you all.”
