Jason Becker announced his new fundraiser as well as the donators on his official Instagram account and detailed the things that he put on sale on his website.
Jason Becker is a 51-year-old guitarist who is considered one of the most talented musicians in the world. Unfortunately, he is diagnosed with ALS, and it has become impossible for him to play guitar. But, he has been creating music on digital platforms thanks to technology.
In the post, Jason revealed that he has got lots of instruments and other things from the musicianship such as Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci, Gus G, Tosin Abasi, Satchel, and many more.
Furthermore, he mentioned that they also got all the donations from Herman Li’s livestream on Twitch and announced that all the profits went for the non-profit organization, Jason Becker Special Needs Trust.
Jason Becker wrote:
“The one-and-only Paul Gilbert has signed and donated a most awesome package: an extremely rare, stage-played Ibanez PGM 90th Anniversary model from his personal collection, a signed MojoMojo Signature Override Pedal, Ernie Ball Strings, and a handful of Werewolves of Portland picks.
A Paradise Numbers guitar from Jason’s personal collection. This 2008 guitar was the 3rd JB Signature Guitar produced by Paradise Guitars. It is thumb printed by Jason and has custom artwork by Gary Becker on its front and on its back.
Greek Metal God, Gus G, has signed and donated a Jackson Pro Series Signature Gus G guitar.”
“The extraordinary Tosin Abasi has signed & donated a gorgeous Abasi Concepts 8-string Larada Legion guitar. This is the first one made in its beautiful, deep red finish, and the only one available in that color at this time.
Warren De Martini has signed & donated his 2006 custom Charvel Bomber Prototype guitar, stage-played during RATT’s 25th anniversary of Out of the Cellar. Satchel, from Steel Panther, has signed & donated his own Limited Release Kramer Pacer.
John Petrucci has donated an autographed Terminal Velocity Album & Poster. Rusty Cooley has signed & donated one of his Signature EC Overdrive Pedals & a copy of his Arpeggio Madness book/DVDs.
With the generous donations from Jason’s friends & fans, along with the sale of all the donated instruments, & donations from Herman Li’s Twitch, this fundraiser has raised over $200K for Jason’s Trust. Jason, The Becker Family, and Team Becker are overwhelmed by all your love and support and will be forever grateful.”
