Alice In Chains’ founder and co-lead vocalist, Jerry Cantrell, recently posted a photo on his Instagram account in which he is seen to be playing guitar in a studio. Even though this photo excited Alice In Chains fans, it seems like Cantrell has a different album in mind.
As you may recall, Alice In Chains received The Museum of Pop Culture Founders Award just a couple of days ago, which Jerry Cantrell shared on his Instagram account. He thanked everyone who contributed to the event and their fans for always supporting them.
As the next photo that he shared was himself in a studio, Alice In Chains fans got excited about whether there’s a new album coming along. However, it turned out that this is not the case.
In his recent Instagram post, Jerry Cantrell is wearing a Butt-head mask (from the show Beavis and Butt-Head) and is holding a guitar. It turns out that Jerry Cantrell has been practicing and recording his own songs.
As you may know, Alice In Chains takes a year off after a big tour, and Jerry had said earlier this year that during that time he will be concentrating on his solo music career. It seems like Jerry Cantrell kept his promise and is indeed working on his solo album.
Here’s what Jerry Cantrell said in the caption of his latest Instagram post:
“Come to Butthead. Photo: Paul Figueroa”
