The official Instagram account of Alice in Chains posted a picture of the band’s vocalist and guitarist, Jerry Cantrell, who poses with his classical leather jacket from the very first years of the band.
The iconic guitarist of Alice in Chains, Jerry Cantrell has been playing with the band since 1987, while the band’s frontman Layne Staley was still alive. After the death of Staley, Jerry continued to play along with William DuVall who replaced their late vocalist.
Outside of Alice in Chains, Jerry Cantrell carried out a solo career which consisted of two solo albums, ‘Boggy Depot‘ and ‘Degradation Trip.’
Recently, the official Instagram account of Alice in Chains posted a picture of Jerry playing guitar on a stage in 1988. As you will see in the photo below, Jerry is wearing his iconic black leather jacket. On the caption of the photo, it was mentioned that Jerry’s legendary look was dated back to the very first years of Alice in Chains.
