In a recent interview, Bon Jovi founder and frontman Jon Bon Jovi revealed the band’s album that changed everything for band members in addition to those who worked with them for the album, and apparently, it was ‘Slippery When Wet.’

‘Slippery When Wet‘ is the third studio album by Bon Jovi and it was released on August 18, 1986. The album was commercially successful right when it was first released since it managed to stay at the top on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. In addition, the album is Bon Jovi’s best-selling album to this day.

The album includes the most iconic and best-known songs of Bon Jovi such as ‘You Give Love a Bad Name,’ ‘Livin’ on a Prayer,’ both of which reached number one on Billboard Hot 100 hits list. Also, the song titled ‘Wanted Dead or Alive’ peaked at number seven, which can be seen as a demonstration that the album was simply monumental.

During a recent interview with Apple Music Essentials, Jon Bon Jovi revealed that ‘Slippery When Wet’ was a life-changer for the band and for those who worked on the album such as the producer, the engineer, and every other staff since it was a massive commercial success and boosted everything by any means.

Here is what Jon Bon Jovi stated about the life-changing album:

“Yeah, everything changed with our third album. Everybody involved with that album – and in every and any aspect of that album, everybody’s lives changed. Whether it was the producer, the engineer, the band, you know, it was just life-changing.

All I wanted to do was prove that we could do it again. Within a year, we wrote ‘New Jersey’ and we’re back on the road. And then that album yielded another five Top 10 singles, and so we did prove it again, but we were burned out. We were dead men walking by the end of that tour.”
