The lead guitarist and also the contributing songwriter of Metallica, Kirk Hammett, has posted a new photo on his official Instagram account today and celebrated Led Zeppelin co-founder Jimmy Page’s 77th birthday.
Jimmy Page has born in Heston, Middlesex, England in 1944 and began his solo career as a studio session musician alongside Big Jim Sullivan. After founding Led Zeppelin and breaking up with The Yardbirds, he has become one of the most popular figures in England and ranked number three in Rolling Stone’s ‘Top 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.’
Today Kirk Hammett has taken his verified Instagram page and showed his admiration and respect to the Egnlish star. Kirk admitted that Jimmy will be an inspiration for him forever and sent his love.
After sharing the post, Kirk’s photo with Jimmy was liked by over 130K people, and one of the users who liked it was Tool star, Adam Jones. According to the caption, the photo was taken by one of the most popular photographers of the industry and also the photographer of Metallica, Ross Halfin.
