KISS bassist and co-lead vocalist Gene Simmons’ wife, Shannon Tweed Simmons, recently posted a photo of her son on her Instagram account and celebrated his birthday while admitting that she‘ll always see him as a little boy even though he’s a grown man now.
As you may know, Gene Simmons and the well-known actress and model Shannon Tweed have been happily together since 1983. The lovely couple decided to get married after being together for 28 years on the crystal lawn of the Beverly Hills Hotel, in 2011. The Simmons couple has two children, Nick Simmons and Sophie Simmons.
As it turns out, January 22 was the couple’s first child, Nick Simmons’ 32nd birthday. Nick is known for his career as a writer, musician like his father, voice-over actor, and reality TV personality. Nick also created and published a limited comic book series named ‘Incarnate‘ in 2009.
With her recent Instagram post, Shannon celebrated the birthday of their ‘first blessing’ and said that even though he’s 32 years old now, for her, he’ll always be the young little boy in the photo that she posted. She added that she knows that it’s hard for kids to live with their parents when they get older but that he better not live without them.
Here’s what Shannon Tweed Simmons said in the caption of her recent Instagram post:
“Happy Birthday to my beautiful son. You were my first blessing. I’ll always remember you like this even though you’re a grown man now. Parents! Can’t live with ’em, better not live without us! We love you so much.❤️”
