KISS’ bassist and co-lead singer, Gene Simmons, recently posted an article on his Twitter account and couldn’t stop himself from cursing at the GOP Senator who said that he didn’t feel threatened during the storming of The U.S. Capitol on January 6.
As you probably know, Gene Simmons is quite active on his social media accounts, and the fact that he’s so vocal about social and political matters has led to a lot of criticism by some fans who don’t agree with him. However, these negative comments have not discouraged Simmons from speaking his mind and expressing his views.
As you may recall, back on January 6, Trump supporters stormed the United States Capitol attempting to prevent Congress from accepting the elected president Joe Biden’s win in the Electoral College. This happening led to a series of events and millions of people, including Gene Simmons, expressed their frustration and disillusionment upon this event.
In his recent tweet, Simmons reacted to a GOP Senator’s statement in relation to that day. Senator Ron Johnson said that he never felt threatened during the storming and went on to call the Trump supporters ‘patriots‘ who were trying to do their best for their country. Simmons felt outraged after reading this article and couldn’t say more than just calling the Senator an ‘idiot.’
Here’s what Gene Simmons said in his tweet:
“Idiot… GOP Sen. Ron Johnson says he never felt threatened during Jan. 6 Capitol attack, calls mob ‘patriots.'”
