In a recent interview with This Is Money, KISS bassist Gene Simmons has revealed his biggest money mistake. He said:

“The biggest was lending $400,000 to someone I thought was a friend. I never saw that money again.”

Interviewer asked:

“Have you ever been paid silly money?”

Gene responded:

Yes. There was a royal event I had to speak at for an hour and they paid me millions of pounds. It is not proper to say which royal family it was, but they just wanted me there. God knows why. I did not even perform, I just spoke.”

He also shared his best money decision and said:

“Staying in the US. I could not make the kind of money I get anywhere else in the world. America is where the action is.”

On value of his house:

“My home in California is a large house with acres of land. It is 16,500 sq ft and has eight rooms. We like big empty spaces. It is probably worth anything between £25million and £40million.
