Ace Frehley, the original lead guitarist and co-founding member of the legendary band KISS, revealed a memory he had with the wife of Kurt Cobain, Courtney Love during an interview with Alicia Atout.

Courtney Love rose to prominence as the lead vocalist of the band Hole and drawn public attention alongside having a highly publicized personal life due to her marriage to the iconic band Nirvana’s frontman Kurt Cobain.

Ace Frehley, when asked if there is anybody in the rock and roll world that he hasn’t met yet but would like to meet, opened up about the perks of being a member of KISS and stated that since doors are always open for him, he met mostly every idol of his.

Here is what Frehley said:

“I’ve met just about everybody. I’ve been in this business for over 45 years, and I’ve met most of my idols. I was hanging out with Pete Townshend when The Who played in San Diego a year or two ago.

I’m in a situation where because of KISS‘s success, the doors are always open.”

Frehley later on continued and shared a story about his daughter and Courtney Love. Frehley revealed that once when her daughter wanted to see Hole, he used his privileges and went to the concert in the tenth row without tickets. It turns out that after the show, Love showed interest in Frehley’s daughter, Monique, and took her backstage.

Here is what Frehley said about the concert:

“I can get into any concert. My daughter wanted to see Hole one day, Kurt Cobain‘s wife, Courtney Love. And she said, ‘Dad, we don’t have any tickets.’ I said, ‘Grab your girlfriend. We’ll go down in the afternoon. I’ll grab the road manager and tell him who I am.’ Next thing you know, we’re in the tenth row, watching Courtney Love. And then after the show, Courtney Love took a liking to my daughter Monique and was taking her around backstage. At the time, Drew Barrymore was dating the bass player, so we met Drew Barrymore. There were so many other celebrities back there, I can’t even name them all. But it was a lot of fun.”
