KISS frontman and quite active Twitter user nowadays, Paul Stanley, posted a recent tweet on his verified account today and announced a devastating death of a Medal of Honor awarded veteran, Ron Shurer, at the age of 41.
You might already know that Ron was struggling with stage four lung cancer for a while. Unfortunately, his cancer was spread to his other organs recently, and he lost his last battle ever yesterday.
Here is the official announcement of U.S Secret Service:
“Today, we lost an American Hero: Husband, Father, Son, Medal of Honor Recipient – Special Agent Ronald J. Shurer II. From a grateful Nation and Agency – your memory and legacy will live on forever. Rest In Peace.”
KISS legend Paul Stanley shared the news and added:
“A hero loses his life. Thank you for your service.”
A Twitter user named Lori Mullins shared her condolences:
“Gone too soon at such a young age. So sad. A very brave man who saved the lives of his fellow troops. I humbly thank him for his service and send my sincere condolences to his family. #cancersucks”
