The lead guitarist of KISS, Tommy Thayer, has talked in the recent interview with Rocksverige and revealed the band’s newest project.

In the conversation, Tommy has stated that they are currently working on a documentary about KISS which includes some unique and rare moments of the band members.

Tommy shared what he knows about the current status of the project and said that they didn’t start filming yet, and they have been working on the script for a while. However, he didn’t give details about the release date of this masterpiece because he didn’t want to mislead the community.

Interviewer asked:

“The KISS documentary, what´s the status on that?”

Tommy Thayer responded:

“That’s a good question. I think we are at least halfway into it. The director is John Dorsey (We assume it’s the guy who made ‘Urban cowboy: The rise and fall of Gilley’s’, 2015) and he’s done great things before.

We’ve done interviews on camera and he’s putting together a lot of historic footage and talking to a lot of different sources, including us and our archives. It’s coming along. I’ve seen a little bit and I think it will be really exciting and really well done.”

The interviewer asked about the project:

“About the biopic then? Is there a script yet or anything like that?”

Tommy replied:

“I think they’ve been working on it. I know less about that to be honest with you. I know that it’s in the works, but I don’t think they’ve started filming anything yet, but there’s definitely a lot of planning and that’s about as much as I know.”
