Korn’s iconic vocalist, Jonathan Davis was the recent interview guest of Johnie Walker’s The Rock Show, and he revealed his rock god of all times.

As you will read his statements below, he praised Black Sabbath legend, Ozzy Osbourne with beautiful words. His statements transcribed by Ultimate-Guitar.

“My rock god is Ozzy Osbourne. I love Ozzy. For one, he took us on our very first big arena tour; he presented me with my first gold record, he taught me a lot about the music business, he’s had me open up for him – a couple of Ozzfests for Korn, and he’s taken me out solo.

I love the fact about Ozzy – you hear him sing, and you know it’s Ozzy in two seconds. Sabbath helped – you know – invent heavy metal music, so…

I remember first hearing Ozzy… probably when I was, like, 12 or 13 years old, on MTV, right when MTV hit. Little did I know that – you know – 10 years later, I’d be touring with him.

He is the Prince of Darkness. All the thing that you’ve heard, it’s just great stories – if it’s true or not, who cares, it just adds to the legend of Ozzy.

And then I love his voice, I love the minor melodies that he did. I just looked up to him – in the business, I never had anyone to look up to ’cause I was never into that rock scene, but that was the one that I gravitated to.”
