The official Instagram account of Korn shared an announcement about their cover of recently deceased Charlie Daniels’s song ‘The Devil Went Down To Georgia’ in honor of the music legend and also a nonprofit organization.

American singer and multi-instrumentalist Charlie Daniels, best known for his number-one country hit ‘The Devil Went Down To Georgia,’ sadly passed away on July 6, 2020, at the age of 83. His cause of death revealed as a hemorrhagic stroke. Daniels’ death caused a huge pain for the whole music industry.

As you might recall, the guitarist of Korn, Brian Welch, made an announcement on Twitter about an upcoming live event of the band. In the video, the Head of Korn stated that they would have a live chat with the fans and share some information about what they have been working on for a while now.

Recently, the official Instagram account of Korn posted a photo related to their new project in honor of Charlie Daniels. On the caption of the post, the band revealed that they were going to release their cover of Charlie Daniels’s song ‘The Devil Went Down To Georgia.’

Furthermore, the song will be available on their Bandcamp page and all the proceeds will be donated to a non-profit organization named ‘Awakening Youth,‘ which aims to empower young people who have lost interaction with their parents.

Here’s the statement posted by the official Instagram account of Korn:
