Korn’s iconic guitarist Brian ‘Head’ Welch daughter Jennea Welch posted the photos of her recently deceased grandmother on Instagram to bid her farewell in behalf of the Welch family.

Brian Welch had a troubling family life since he and his ex-wife Rebekah gave their first daughter up for adoption back in 1995. Later in 1998, the couple had another daughter, Jennea, and this time they decided to raise her by themselves.

However, even though he had custody of his daughter, the relationship between Jennea and Brian had been complicated due to Welch’s drug addiction.

Recently on Instagram, Jennea Welch shared the sad news of her grandmother Ruth’s death after struggling with cancer for a long time. On the caption of her post, Jennea mentioned that her grandmother helped her to get through the challenging times caused by her parents’ substance abuse.

Furthermore, Jennea shared the sadness of the Welch family losing such an important soul and wanted her followers to keep them in their thoughts and prayers.

Here’s what Jennea Welch stated on the caption of her post:

My grandma Ruth passed away this Monday afternoon from a long battle with cancer. She was peaceful, surrounded by family.

Grandma Ruth was truly incredible. Beautiful, kind, not a mean bone in her body. A survivor and overcomer of domestic violence, an addiction led household and did the absolute best she could to take care of her own.

Growing up with parents who struggled with addiction, my relationship with Grandma Ruth gave me a sense of ‘normalcy’ and consistency. I always lived far away, so she would send me presents and cards in the mail, spray them with her perfume, and kiss the cards leaving a mark. 😊😕 I thought that was so special.

I love her so much. I strive to have her kind of endurance and kindness as I grow into the woman I want to be.

If you think of it, please keep our family in your thoughts n prayers.
