German metal veterans Kreator will release their 14th studio album “Gods of Violence” on January 27 via Nuclear Blast. Vocalist Mille Petrozza explains what inspired him lyrically on this album. He said:
“The inspiration mostly came from movies. And also in some lyrics, the inspiration came from the current events, the political climate.
Even though I wouldn’t say ‘Gods of Violence’ is a political record – because I couldn’t care less about politics – a lot of the lyrics were inspired by the misery and pain caused by the political climate.
Writing lyrics is always the most challenging part because I’ve written lyrics for almost 130. Coming up with new themes is always a huge challenge to me.”
