Nirvana legend Kurt Cobain‘s daughter Frances Bean Cobain reacted to the police brutality against a 29-year-old Black man, Jacob Blake, and urged her fans to take action to bring justice for the father of three.
On a Sunday afternoon in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Jacob Blake, a 29-years-old Black man, got shot seven times in the back by the police officers in front of his children. According to the statements of his neighbors, Jacob was trying to break up a fight.
After the footage of an unarmed Black man’s shooting spread across social media, protests erupted in the streets of Wisconsin. Many celebrities also reacted on social media and called for justice.
Nirvana icon Kurt Cobain’s daughter Frances Bean Cobain also didn’t remain silent on the issue and showed her reaction on her Instagram account. Frances shared a post informing people what they could do to bring justice for Jacob Blake as well as a post giving information about what really happened to the father of three during that terrible evening.

“Kenosha police officers responded to a domestic incident around 5 pm Sunday. According to civil rights lawyer Ben Crump, 29-year-old Jacob Blake had been trying to break up a fight between two women. Video footage shared on social media showed three officers pointing their weapons at unarmed Blake as he walks to his car.
When Blake leans in the car seven shots are fired hitting Blake in the back. His three sons were in the car. Blake was taken to hospital in serious condition. According to family members, he is now out of the ICU.”
