Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain’s biopic/documentary “Montage of Heck” was released in 2015. During in the recent interview with Independent.ie, Frances Bean Cobain has shared her thoughts about “Montage of Heck”.
Here’s the statement:
“That movie ended up being not what I wanted it to be. The first half of the movie is really beautiful; the second half, we all ended up hating Kurt. We were all like, ‘You whiny little b***h. What is wrong with you?’ That wasn’t reflective of what we were trying to convey.”
She also talked about Montage of Heck director Brett Morgen and said:
“I don’t regret working with him. I regret not being in a headspace to be more involved. I was on a lot of drugs. I was not present. I was not capable of having authentic input.”
Interviewer asked ‘which bits would she have left out of the movie? Frances, as a baby, with her dad high?’ and Frances responded:
“I know they were real. I know about it, but I don’t know how necessary it was for the entire world to know about it.”
