In an interview with Classic Rock, the drummer of Metallica, Lars Ulrich, talked about the upcoming studio album of Metallica and claimed that the next Metallica record will the best ever and they will make a difference with it.
Metallica has released their latest album named ‘Hardwired… To Self-Destruct’ back in 2016 and since then, the band kept its silence even in the self-quarantine. However, almost every single member of the band teased that they are working on something new for a while and the new Metallica record will be released really soon.
During a previous conversation, Lars Ulrich said that they all feel radically they always have another album coming out when asked if the album is coming soon. The drummer also revealed that they have been working the last 6-8 weeks virtually and admitted the fact that being in a rock and roll band and working virtually is not super easy.
In his latest interview, Ulrich stated that when Metallica and other bands will be able to play in big arenas again, the band members will be sure that the COVID-thing is over and that’s the time fans should wait for the new record.
Here is what Lars said in his latest interview:
“It’s the heaviest thing, the coolest. But all kidding aside, if it wasn’t because we thought that the best record was still ahead of us, then why keep doing it? In Metallica, we love the creative process, and it’s hard for me to imagine that we’ll ever stop making records.
Writing always makes me feel enthusiastic about what’s next. It’s like, ‘Fuck, there’s an opportunity here to still make the best record, to still make a difference.”
