Legendary Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page has updated his official Instagram account and revealed an untold story about his visit to Cairo from his priceless archive.

In the letter, Page said that they had a two and a half week gap between the first leg and the second leg of the 1977 North American tour with Led Zeppelin.

Jimmy Page stated that he decided to break up his trip to England and turned his route to Cairo, Eygpt. This was his first visit to Cairo, and he had the opportunity to see the unique beauty of the Giza’s pyramids and Sphynx.

Here’s the story:

“On this day in 1977, I visited Cairo for the first time.⁣

Between the first leg and the second leg of the @ledzeppelin 1977 North American tour, we had a two and a half week break.⁣

I decided to break up my trip back to England with a visit to Cairo. This was the first of what was to be a succession of intense visits to the pyramids of Giza and the Sphynx.⁣
