Scarlett Sabet, the girlfriend of the guitarist and founder of the legendary band Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Page shared a story on her official Instagram page about mental health issues, especially during COVID-19.
The iconic guitarist Jimmy Page and actress, poet, and author Scarlett Sabet have a relationship for 6 years now and the two even worked together on a spoken word album named Catalyst released in 2019 and produced by Jimmy Page.
While Sabet does not share much about her relationship with Page on her social media accounts, she often uses her official Instagram page to announce her works and sneak peeks at her poetry.
Scarlett Sabet recently shared a story about the effects of the quarantine due to coronavirus on people struggling with mental issues. Sabet stated that the relapse and overdose rate has increased by 30% since March 2020, and the winter is going to be worse than summer lockdown.
Sabet asked her followers to share and spread this message and shared a helpline for those who may need help due to depression and mental problems during the quarantine.
Here is what Sabet said:
“If you thought a summer lockdown was bad for people already struggling with mental health, a winter one is going to be 10 times worse. Please keep look out for your family, friends, and neighbors that are struggling.
The relapse and overdose rate has increased by 30% since March 2020. Mental health issues related to our lockdown and the pandemic are especially hard for people with depression. Mind Charity has a helpline: 0300 123 3011 Mon to Friday 9 am to 6 pm.
Now, I’m asking my small corner of Insta to follow suit: Could any two of my friends just copy and repost to share the helpline far and wide? Just two. Any two. Thanks.”
