Electric guitar master of Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Page has shared a new story from his archive, and revealed the backstory of a heartwarming photo of himself.

He said that the photo was taken by Nasir Hamid at The Oxford Union in 2017, and he gave a talk to that audience at that time. Here’s what he told:

“On this day in 2017, I gave a talk at The Oxford Union.⁣

With a tradition of hosting debates and speakers since the 1820s, it was an honour to be invited and a thrill to be back – because the first time I visited The Union was when I was 16 or 17 years old.⁣

On that memorable occasion, the beat poet Royston Ellis gave a talk and I was accompanying him on guitar for a couple of his poems, so it was very interesting to re-visit this historic institution after all of these years.⁣

This is also the venue where I first joined The Yardbirds. “⁣

Page’s girlfriend Scarlett Sabet left a comment:

“Magnificent evening 💥💥💥💥”

Another fan said:

“Just like you helped a poet then you are doing it now with the equally brilliant and muse Scarlett Sabet….love these posts it shows fans that there is so much more to you than the iconic rock God and musician! #sirjimmypage ❤️”
