Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page has shared a new picture on his official Instagram account and revealed the most exotic place he has ever seen.

As you might already know, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant toured in the ’90s under the title of ‘Page and Plant.’ In 1998, they visited Istanbul and made a great show in Turkey.

In the post, Jimmy has shared a photo of the Hagia Sophia Mosque, which is one of the most historical architectures in history, and stated that Istanbul is the most exotic place he has ever seen.

While we were writing this, Jimmy’s post reached over 12.000 likes and most of the fans headed to the comment section to shared their reaction.

Here is what Jimmy Page wrote:

“On this day in 1998, Page and Plant played Bostancı Gösteri Merkezi in Istanbul, Turkey. This tour gave me an incredible opportunity to play some foreign locations. Istanbul qualified as one of the most exotic. Have you been, too?⁣

The Hagia Sophia Mosque (pictured here) is an architectural triumph. The souk, a bee-hive of hustle-bustle and barter. ⁣”

He continued:

“I remember being backstage at the Bostanci Gösteri Merkezi about to play the show when a lengthy power cut ensued. It crossed my mind that there might be the possibility of unrest with the atmosphere of humidity, anticipation, and excitement.

Eventually, the power resumed and we could do the show to a really enthusiastic audience. The only blemish was recurring thoughts of the film ‘Midnight Express’ 😀⁣”

A fan named Koe added this comment:

“Such a beautiful building it truly is an architectural triumph 👌 Fantastic story, Jimmy.”

Another fan named Julie said:

“Still kicking myself for not getting out to see you guys on that tour. Was caught up in young family stuff. Any chance of another round? 🙏🏽”
