Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page has shared a new story and little-seen photo on his Instagram page.
He remembered the time when he was playing with Mickey Finn on this day in 1963. Jimmy wrote:
“I played on the song Night Comes Down previously with guitarist / singer-songwriter Jon Mark at IBC Studio, with Glyn Johns recording and probably Shel Talmy producing.
I don’t think Jon Mark’s version ever came out, but it was really good. He later was to tour as the guitarist for Marianne Faithfull and went on to form The Mark-Almond Band with saxophonist Johnny Almond.”⠀⠀

In addition, he also shared another special photo with Robert Plant, and wrote:
“#OnThisDay in 1971, I played Southampton University with @LedZeppelin.
On the ‘Back to the Clubs’ tour we played the Old Union Refectory in Southampton.”
