The iconic guitarist Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin posted the photo of the legendary musician, Little Richard and shared a rare story of how Led Zeppelin played Pirates’ World in 1963.

While adding another page to his iconic ‘On This Day’ archive, Jimmy Page talked about Little Richard on the post.

Here is what Jimmy wrote:

“On this day in 1969, @LedZeppelin played Pirates’ World, which suited our buccaneering spirit. Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum! When in Miami, the band stayed at the Doral Hotel, which had a cocktail lounge nightclub in the basement. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I got to hear Little Richard and his band in this club environment and boy were they good. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It’s Little Richard’s songs that pioneered rock’n’roll. With Elvis singing them, this just went under the radar during a racist period of time.”
