The co-founder and singer of Linkin Park, Mike Shinoda has canceled the live stream on Twitch on July 20th, in honor of the band’s former vocalist Chester Bennington.

Shinoda has been routinely making the live streams on Twitch for a long while. The musician has been connecting with his fans directly there and even making little surprises to them by taking their illustration requests and drawing them during the live stream.

Yet, Shinoda decided to cancel the stream for the death anniversary of his former bandmate Chester Bennington on July 20th. As you know, Bennington had committed suicide by hanging in 2017. He died at the age of 41 by causing the grief for lots of fans and his musician friends.

To commemorate Bennington on this day, Shinoda asked for his fans a break for a day and thanked them all on Instagram stories. Here is what Shinoda said:

“Not streaming today. Thanks for understanding.”
